Stanley Town Hall was designed by architect Alexander North in 1911 and later renovated in Art Deco style in the 1930s. A full restoration in 2010–2011 brought the auditorium back to its best — new seating, modern house and stage lighting, sound systems, and projection equipment — while preserving the building’s commanding presence on Church Street.

Listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register, the hall accommodates up to 220 guests and suits weddings of any size. Stanley itself is a compact, historic town on a basalt peninsula surrounded on three sides by water — a setting that makes the journey part of the occasion.
